Leland Cheung, Associate

At Masthead, Mr. Cheung identifies and evaluates investment opportunities in close collaboration with the partners. Prior to joining Masthead, he served as Chief Information Officer of Space Adventures, a high-profile startup most famous for successfully sending paying citizens to the International Space Station. As CIO at Space Adventures, Mr. Cheung was responsible for the company's technology infrastructure, articulation of its business/market strategy, and the resolution of several unusual challenges. In addition, he has worked as an engineer at Lockheed Martin and as a research scientist for NASA's Gravity Probe B.

Mr. Cheung holds three degrees from Stanford University: an MS in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, a BS in Physics, and a BA in Economics.
