Karl Qin is currently Director of Business Development, Genzyme Biosurgery, primarily responsible for identifying and initiating new business opportunities at Genzyme through in/out licensing and acquisitions. Before he joined Genzyme in 2005, he was Sr. Director, Business Development at Control Delivery Systems (CDS), a specialty pharmaceutical company in Watertown MA. Prior to CDS, he spent 6 years in technology licensing and venture start-ups at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston Texas. His last position at MD Anderson was Director, Technology Commercialization. In the last 12 years, Mr. Qin has negotiated and closed more than 20 commercial transactions with major global pharmaceutical, biotech and specialty pharmaceutical companies.
