Dr. Linping Zhang has fifteen years of scientific and management experience in the
pharmaceutical industry and leading research institutions in the United States and in China. She is currently a Sloan Fellow at MIT Sloan School for the Master of Business Administration Program in Innovation and Global Leadership. Prior to this, Linping had worked at Infinity Pharmaceuticals Inc. as founding senior scientist and project manager since its inception in 2001.
She managed research projects from inception to preclinical research, and played a critical role in implementing and validating Infinity’s core technology platform for commercialization.
Linping had worked in China as Principal Investigator in Guangdong Institute of Materia Medica for drug research and development. There, she led projects from inception until phase II clinical trials. She also managed new drug filing processes and was engaged in commercialization of the traditional Chinese medicines.
Linping conducted her Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harvard University. She holds a Ph.D. in Organic/Medicinal Chemistry from the State University of New York at Buffalo, a M.S. in Medicinal Chemistry from Shenyang Pharmaceutical University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Tianjin University in China.
