Introduction of Career Fair:


  • The annual career fair serves as a platform for Employers, university students, and working professionals. Since 2001, career fairs have tremendously helped many enterprises, government agencies, universities and institutions to explore the market of talent in North-East America; and meanwhile aided university students and working professionals to seek the best development opportunities not only in the U.S. but also in the Asia-Pacific region. The career fair nowadays works specially as a significant channel to bring together talent pool in Great Boston area and local/national/Multinational corporations and institutions that are seeking talent. The annual career fair takes place on MIT campus every spring together with the annual conference.

Objective

2007's Annual Career Fair of MIT Economics and Talent Forum would be outstanding platform connecting employers and talent pool from over 10 universities in the great Boston area as well as working professionals in North America. We aim to help employers from various industries recruit the most prospective employees and help students and working professionals find the best career opportunities.  

Format

The career fair will have a standard career fair format where employers can discuss the opportunities with career fair attendees, collect resumes, and interview candidates if necessary. We will provide each attending company with a table and chairs (or larger facility, if desired). Independent interview space/rooms and promotional information sessions could be arranged per request. The participating companies will also enjoy exposure on our website and in our widely distributed publications such as brochures, booklets, posters and flyers.

Attendees

•  Students from universities such as MIT, Harvard, Yale, Brown, Boston University, Boston College, Tufts University, Northeastern University, University of Massachusetts, Brandeis University, and etc.

•  Working professionals mainly in Boston and New York areas.

•  Based on our experience from past events, we estimate the number of attendees to be about 1000.
