Introduction of Conference:
  • The annual conference invites business/government leaders and top academic scholars from the U.S., Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, other Asia-Pacific region, as well as many working professionals in Great Boston and New York areas. They do overall research and discussion on multi-topics such as the communication and collaboration in business and academic fields between the Asia-Pacific region and U.S., the development of economy in the Asia-Pacific region, and the exchange of oversea talent.

  • The annual conference consists of two parts: keynote speeches, and Business Panel Sessions. The keynote speeches address on the development of the overall Asia-Pacific area with world trend of economy globalization.   They are expected to explore the strategies in economy, technology or social development of the Asia-Pacific region as well as the communication and collaboration between the Asia-Pacific and U.S. enterprises, government agencies and research institutions. The Business Panel Sessions focus on both panel discussion and attracting business collaboration/investment. Business Panel Sessions are simultaneously held at different sites objective to different topics or fields. At the sessions, panelists make speeches and lead discussions about the relevant panel topics. Meanwhile, they also introduce and advertise their business. The past annual conferences have drawn many influential speakers and a large audience to attend, and received comprehensive media coverage as well as generous corporate sponsorship.

Objective

The MIT Economics and Talent Forum annual conference investigates global economic, technological and social trends with a focus on the Asia-Pacific region from both strategic and practical angles. 2007's conference will focus on the rapid and continuous economic boom in the Asian-Pacific region, the opportunities and challenges this poses to Chinese industries, as well as to individual oversea talent.   The fields/topics covered by the keynote speeches and business panels will include: IT, Finance, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Entrepreneurship, Manufacture, Real Estate, Energy, Law, Science & Technologies, Education, International Trade, and Culture & Entertainment, etc.    

Format
The annual conference consists of one Keynote Speech Session followed by four to six parallel Business Panel Sessions. 
•  There will be two to three prominent speakers followed by Q&A sessions in the Keynote Speech Session.
•  Each of the parallel Business Panel Sessions will be dedicated to multiple topics with five to seven panelists. Each panel will run for about 1.5 to 2 hours, and will be hosted by one or two business executives from industry. Panelists make speeches or presentations about the relevant panel topics followed by Q&A. Meanwhile, they could also introduce and advertise their business.
