Objective:
The delegation of Bureau of Foreign Trade &
Economic Cooperation of Guangzhou (Guangdong, China) Municipality
(BOFTEC) will be glad to meet and discuss with government
officials, company representatives, and interested
scholars/working professionals in big Boston area, regarding the
following (not limited to) topics:
promoting business opportunities in
Guangzhou
building long term relationship with
government and enterprises
gaining better mutual understanding, and
promote bilateral economic exchange
exploring future opportunities of foreign
investment (both US investment in China and Chinese investment in
US), trade and other cooperation
Introduction of BOFTEC in Guangzhou:
As the authority under Guangzhou Municipal
Government in charge of the Guangzhou's foreign trade and economic
cooperation, Guangzhou Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic
Cooperation (BOFTEC) is responsible for:
formulating foreign trade and economic
cooperation policies
promoting trade and investment
developing plan for foreign trade and
economic cooperation
making approvals to foreign-invested
projects and investment in overseas countries
monitor operations for foreign trade and
coordinate local enterprises' investment in areas outside
Guangzhou
