Recent years U.S. Venture capitalists are trolling for deals globally; among their top targets is China. An increasing number of firms are opening satellites offices in China, or teaming up with local investors, trying to be the gateway to connect entrepreneurs with the Venture Capital ecosystem. Venture Capital has become strategically important to China's economic growth.

The panel aims to provide insight into venture capital practice in China by exploring opportunities and challenges facing venture capitalists. This panel addresses topics such as unique features of venture capital practices in China; the investing environment in emerging markets including taxation policy; global equity/asset management; IP protection and corporate governance; the different stages of investment and how government policy could affect certain investment stages; industry trends for venture capital investments.
